Obama Shoots A Lot Of Bricks As POTUS (Video)

On his show, Tuesday, Rush Limbaugh pointed out that it was kind of funny that some in the media expected Obama to be better in basketball than he apparently is based on his mortifying display at Monday’s White House Easter Egg Roll.

Transcript via the Rush Limbaugh Show:

The news media is still shaking their collective heads over Obama missing all but two of his 22 free throws on the White House basketball court during the Easter Egg Roll on Monday.  Let me ask a question.  Isn’t it a little racist to assume that Obama would be good at basketball?  I mean, where is this lofty expectation of Obama on the basketball court coming from?  We have it at his word.  He tells us that he’s good at basketball, and we already know from others who’ve worked with him that he thinks he’s an expert at everything.  Maybe he thinks he’s excellent at free-throw shooting.  Anyway, they’re very, very concerned about this.

Needling the media, he suggested that it was a little racist of them to assume a black man would be good at basketball:

But isn’t it a little racist to assume here that he’d be good at basketball?  Why does anybody think he would be good at it?  Because he spends a lot of time playing it?  Well, he’s not good at golf.  This we know.

I suggest you turn down the volume on the second video and watch Obama shoot bricks while listening to Rush’s commentary.

I actually disagree with Rush on this one. There’s a larger lessen to be gleaned, here, in terms of how the media regards this president.

Notice how they made excuses for him – Poor Obama (The Choke-in-Chief) -  he choked in front of the kiddies.

ROSE:  You know, he’s got game.  It must drive him crazy –

KING:  I would think so, too.

ROSE:  — to miss that many shots.

O’DONNELL:  I know.  What did he hit, two out of 22 shots there in front of everybody?

ROSE:  What did you call him, commander-in-choke?

O’DONNELL:  No, the choke-in-chief.  He went from the commander-in-chief to the choke-in-chief, yeah.

KING:  Well, maybe, guys, he just didn’t want to show up the children.

O’DONNELL:  Yeah.

ROSE:  Maybe not.

KING:  Or was he just having a bad day.

Yes, he was having a “bad day.” It couldn’t possibly be that the guy who warmed the bench as a non-starter in high school, (and blamed his failure on “structural racism”) might happen to suck at the game.

I see this whole episode as a microcosm of how the MSM has treated Obama throughout his entire tenure as president.

Obama has a lot of bad days that (taking their cues from Obama) the media blames on anything  other than his own personal suckage.

Obama bricks the economy? It’s Bush’s fault. Or the Republicans’ fault. Or it’s just Obama’s bad luck. Obama bricks foreign policy? – it’s Bush’s fault, or the Republicans’ fault. Or it’s just Obama’s bad luck, again. Obama bricks a deal with the Republicans?  He was the adult in the room who didn’t want to show up the children. Or he was having a bad day.
